Backpack - for the biggest adventures

The best possible backpack for any expedition is a key to successs. Equipment, food, water could be heavy and the weight must be ideally distributed so there is no problem with daily activities. The backpack must be durable, lightweight and precisely made, for me the ideal one has just the right amount of different pocket and pouches to organize everything. For my walk across Canada I choose Gregory Palisade 80 with capacity 88 liters.

Lightweight - 2,9kg and huge - 88 liters for me this is exactly what I wanted! 88 liters of capacity it is the maximu I can have, it can be achieved by setting up the top of the backpack and with smaller amount of equipment it can be compressed so there is no loose fabric and does not disturb me when walking. There is a 3D adjustment for hips, and many many more features.

Advantages?

In my opinion there is a lot of advantages so I am going to write the most important one for me - it's easy to acces this backpack from the top, and front. Inside there is a pocket for CamelBak and outside there is a lot of different belts to attah some equipment like flshlights, mug, trekking poles, preety much everything I need. I also like the 3D adjustment so the backpack fits my hips and back, I have different settings for winter and summer. It's also useful if you want to hijack children :)

Disadvantages?

In my opinien there is not enough of small pouches-pockets on the sides. For smaller and daily use items it would be extremely convenient. You know, I don't want to take everything out just to find my headlamp. I have some pouches so I will attach it and I hope the problem should be solved. Second thing, at the top there is a big pocket, there is no extra fabric to divide it into smaller compratments, it's just to big. It is dedicated for the most used items but I wouldn't like to have my phone next to a chocolate! I will have to use some mesh bags to organize it.

There is one more thing to be upset with - rain cover! It's very inconvenient that this backpack does not have any pocket at the bottom so the rain cover is an a mesh bag and I will have to place it somewhere, but where?? In case of rain I want to cover it as soon as possible and I wouldn't like to look for a rain cover. I will have to come up with a smart idea.
