Fire is one of the most important priority of survival - it heats up the body, make people calm and optimistic, help to prepare food and many more. Fire starters for my expedition must be choosen to start fire no matter the conditions are - rain, storm, extreme cold and here I present you all my fire starters.

What kind of equipment??

• Fire striker - flint - made by Light My Fire, my favourite flint, comfortable in use. It has a built-in whistle.
• Stormproof matches - I am using matches made by UCO. Up to 15s burn time. The best matches I've ever used, they are burning even after immersion in water. I placed matches in storage containters and in differen location such as backpack, survival kit, cooking set etc.
• Storage boxes - I have 3pcs of orange and 1pc of big yellow box. They are filled with stormproof matches and cotton rolls to fill extra spaces. They are sealed so the inside is protected against moisture. They have fire-starter flint at the bottom so I can start a fire with a knife.
• Cotton rolls - I will have few pcs of cotton rolls with me to start fire easily in wet areas. It's lightweight so I don'thave to worry about it.
• Kindling - I will have a few pcs of brick fire starters. They can burn about 3 minutes each, it's easy to start fire even in extremely wet areas so I have it just in case.
• Fresnel lens - small lens used to concentrate sun rays to heat a point on a surface and to start a fire, I have it an a survival kit and it will be described in a separate article.

Any survival?

I do not plan to use any survival techniques to start fire unless in a survival situation. I've been training how to start fire using different methods. I'm supported by Universal Survival.
