FIRST AID KIT - Caution is good, but preparedness is better

How to protect health and life far away from cities? Each expedition requires a first aid kit. It's usefell for smaller and even life- threatening injuries and it should be located close to you for easy access.

It is often underestimated but extremely important item in the backpack and survival. The kit you can see below and in a movie I prepared myself with help of specialists.

What are the components of my first aid kit?

  • Large first aid kit - in my backpack
  • Small first aid kit - always next to me, on my belt or hanging outside the backpack
  • Medications
  • Military bandage - for the most serious wounds
  • Tactical compressed gauze (???) - maybe it will be useful in my kit
  • Few pairs of gloves - for general use

Large first aid kit

  • Large sterile compresses - about 15pcs
  • Tissues for eye cleaning - 3pcs
  • Large gauzes
  • Big adhesive tape for serious injuries
  • Disinfection tissues
  • Ear plugs - 1 set
  • Small bandage
  • Cold compress - for summer
  • Nitrile gloves - 1 pair
  • Standard Adhesive plasters
  • Tea with sugar
  • Standard plaster
  • Condom - for water storage
  • Compress and eye protection
  • Triangular bandage
  • After Bite - for serious bites
  • Small scissors
  • NRC foil (space foil) - in case there is a risk of hypothermia
  • LighStick blue - 1pc, light to use first aid kit at night
  • LighStick IR (infrared) - to indicate the position
  • Chocolates - with toffee and mint to improve morale
  • Water purification tabs - 30pcs

Small first aid kit

  • CELOX - Haemostats are dressings to control major haemorrhage including life-threatening bleeding from arterial injuries
  • Small scissors
  • Adhesive tape for small wounds
  • Few sterile gauzes
  • Pressure bandage
  • Latex gloves - 1 pair
  • Nitrile gloves - 1 pair
  • Gel for faster wound recuperation
  • Disinfection tissues
  • CPR face protection
  • After Bite for serious bites
  • Gel and plasters for blisters
  • Ammonia inhalants, 3 pcs
  • Eye cleaning tissues
  • Greasy ointment for lips and skin - for winter
  • Wooden sticks - 2pcs
  • Burn gel
  • Emergency chemical warmer - works up to 10h in case of hypothermia
  • Condom for emergency water storage

Medications

  • Pills for headache, fever etc.
  • For diarrhea
  • Medical carbon
  • Supradyn vitamins (45 pcs per box)
  • Ointment for blisters

This set will be updated in bigger cities and will be specially prepared for the upcoming kilometers. I hope I will never use my first aid kit, but as you know, it is a must have for my expedition!
