Day 18 - My first maraton
After a great night in a Polish house in Abbotsford I was heading to Chiliwack. From the beginning of the day it was raining?, it's really annoying! I had to continue my journey anyway. I went through the Abbotsford in the shortest way. I had a break in a fastfood and continued alongside the No.1 highway. There was the other road named S parallel Road, small, local road for farmers. The walk was pretty safe and the rain was not so disturbing.
The road was straight and flat for a veeery long part and suddenly I realised that I am the crossroad at Hwy1 and Road number 3, yeah! There was a place where I could sit and eat something but I ate only sandwiches. In the meantime it got dark, in winter sun sets around 17 o'clock. I was far away from Chiliwack and I picked up/chose some smaller roads to get to the Lichman Road and Hwy 1 crossroad. It was difficult at a time, I didn't know exactly where to go I let my intuition/orientation to guide me but it was not mentally easy. I was very tired after all day!
At 20 I am still walking, my legs are starting to hurt but I already knew that I was going to spend the night in a hotel. Mrs Janina with family funded me a room! Wow, what a place! I arrived really exhausted, I achieved my first marathon distance (42km). Then I was eating, eating and eating and fell asleep, because I had to contiune in the morning. Thank you very much for the night in the hotel! Special thanks for the Mrs Janina and her family!
