Day 1 - THE ADVENTURE BEGINS

TODAY IS THE DAY! Wednesday, January 21st! Beautiful day in Victoria, but it started really bad since I didn't sleep, what a coincidence... I was sleeping at Miriam and Sławek's house - olish family that invited me for a few days. I'm really happy I met such a great people! Last preparation at home and we went to Clover Point. The expedition started at 9:45 am after putting my leg and hand into the Pacific Ocean. I also took a stone, itt's really symbolic, I will put it to the Atlantic Ocean. 'beautiful weather, 5 degrees, wind from the ocean. I was wearing the Extreme Merino shirt provided by Brubeck, I was really happy! At mmy starting point there were a lot of peopleasking me about my trip and even they were taking photos with me!

After a moment I arrived to Mile 0, the official start of Trans Canada Highway and the most important placce of my expedition. It's a really famous place, people visit it very often. In this Park there is one more monument quite interesting - Terry Fox monument, great Canadian hero! He was running across Canada on a artificial leg. I recorded a lot of movies for you, especially the one to explain you the reason I am walking from coast to coast. I'm really sorry if you wanted to read about it, but I decided to record an exclusive movie about it. After photo session I was walking along the Pacific to downtown.

When I was walking I realized that peoplee here are extremely nice, everyone says "Good morning" as you walk! What a great place! I arrived to breakwater, I was walking around, I had a hot chocolate, I uploaded some photos for you... Than I walked to BC Parliament, The Empress Hotel, I saw downtown one more time and I took the first bridgge to the other island. It was boring there, just normal houses, that's all...In downtown Victoria I wasted a lot of time, I started before 10am and I did 22km finishing around 7pm, you know, photos, movies and all these stuff.

In the evening I finally arrived home, to the excellent Polish family, I had great dinner, you know, it was all I needed that day! Thank you Miriam and Sławek! My stay in Victoria was just awesome!

What else, just after I returned home I was exhausted, first day was full of emotions but I almost didn't write anything for you, ok, maybe a few sentenes...
